NOTD: Revlon Red Carpet

Never owned any red nail polish so wanted to try out an inexpensive one. The obvious brand choice was Revlon as they are known for their reds. Glad that I picked the color 'Red Carpet' as it isn't a true red. It leans towards bright pinkish/berry red. Lovin it!

Perfect for my weekend chilling at the beach

Randomness: Quattro by Sansiri

A little bit of Luxury

Teatime with Sansiri
Doing a bit of condo browsing and fell in love with this condo. (Its over my budget, plus I already have a mortgage on another condo)
Entrance Masterpiece

Lobby area
Sansiri is a well known real estate developer in Thailand.  They sell 'lifestyle'.  Personally, I love their concept. Most of their properties are in the grade A and B range.

Quattro is at the top of the food chain.  It is the high end of Sansiri's brand of condos in A++ grade. Everything is like a service apartment with valet, butler, 24hr security, concierge, fitness facilities, chill out terrace (aka sun deck) and more.  Basically, you are paying for a life of luxury.

Love this mailroom

Would you like to live here?

Foodie Alert: Durian ?!?

Durian (ทุเรียน) aka King of Fruits

It is a very love it or hate it kind of fruit.  For me, loveeee it!
The fruit itself has a thick spiky skin.  You need a really sharp knife and gloves just to open it to get the 'fruit' aka edible flesh part inside.  The flesh will be a beautiful yellow color.  Its actually durian season now so that is why you will find it at fresh markets around Southeast Asia and the only time of the year where I can indulge :)

Why love it?
The flesh should have a cripsy/crunchy skin and inside is soft and sweet. (At least that is my preference)

Why hate it?
Durian has a strong very unique smell. So unique to the point that it is banned from public areas like hotels and airports. In short, some people think it stinks.

OOTD: Moustache in the City

There was an opening of a new mall here where I live so I decided to check it out.  More of like, I needed an excuse for some retail therapy.  Way too stressed out with work.  Let's just say, I was ready to part with some cash >>>> The results: definitely came home a lighter (broke now) and happy girl :)

Totally going off topic.  This was what I wore. Sorry for not including my shoes. Forgot it take a proper full length pic. I wore Chanel style ballet flats.

In My Footsteps: Bollywood

Pre-Travel

Since I'll be jetting off to Mumbai tonight, thought that I'll give you guys a preview of this to see.  Depending on the hotel wifi, I might be able to upload some stuff.  If not, then wait til I get back.  (I'm only there for a little bit more than 48 hours... maybe around 55hours?!?)

I've been to Mumbai numerous times but never as a tourist. Always work related (hence the 55hours).

Bollywood is usually what is referred to the Indian Film Industry in Bombay. (Its a really big one too!)  Since Bombay = Mumbai, I'm calling this my BOLLYWOOD trip.

So, let's prepare for bollywood dance!!

Living life and taking chances

Saw this on Twitter and loved it <3 You only live once and its ok to take risks.  That is what it means to L-I-V-E (don't waste it on a mundane 9-5 job a.k.a my life)

Review: Ballerina @ Terminal21

If you love wearing flats, then this is the place to go.

Although, I bought 1 pair of flats and 1 pair of heels here... oops :P

I've actually gotten 2 shoes there and they haven't disappointed me.  I hate those hard plastic type shoes. Eewww! And they give your feet blisters :(

The shoes here are made from really soft leather.  Ok, gotta admit I got blisters the first day I wore my flats but after I broke them in, it was perfect.  The owner told me that I should have come back to them immediately when I started getting blisters.  She explained that it had to do with the shape of each individual's feet.  All she had to do was just to mold and mesh the shoe a bit at the corners and there you have it.

These are the flats I bought.  It follows the Chanel style of quilt cream leather with black tips down to the bow details.  Its Chanel "inspired".... NOT a copy.

I had no issues OR blisters for my lovely white heels.  They only had to punch extra holes to the straps because I have small ankles.  I've worn them for the entire day and still comfy.

Love them??

Price Range: abt 2,000 baht
Location: Terminal 21
How to get there? Using public transport will be your best friend.  Get off at MRT Sukhumvit or BTS Asoke station.  Driving there is torture.

In My Footsteps: Bollywood (Gateway of India)

Gateway of India

Although I didn't get to do any touristy stuff this time because it was a super short trip, didn't want you guys to miss out so I thought that I'll just post this photo from my last visit there.

Gateway of India & Taj Mahal Hotel
That time I took a ferry from the Gateway to see Elephanta Island.  Behind the Gateway is the Taj Mahal hotel and looking out to the Arabian Sea.  There were some terrorist attacks at this hotel a few years back but the hotel is now renovated and back to normal.

Don't worry, I'll be back to India soon enough...... tentative schedule is in about 2 months.

NOTD: Chanel 491 Rose Confidentiel

My first Chanel polish :)

It was a gift from my lovely BFF when he returned from Shanghai.

Chanel #491
He did a really good job picking this color.  Don't you think? Rose pink shade that I can wear all year round.

I feel like I have a Revlon polish that looks similar.  Might do a comparison sometimes to see whether it is a possible dupe.

In My Footsteps: Bollywood Day2 (China Man in India)

Considering how heavy Indian food can be, I changed my last meal to be Chinese.  This is authentic Chinese too! Not the Indianized version (luckily).
All signature desserts from the entire menu!
Banana Fritter

This is definitely not for people who are coming on a budget.  Although if I had to compare, I still prefer Din Tai Fung.  However, I had the best roasted Peking duck..... quak quak.  The chef comes to your table and slices the duck in front of you. Yummmm. The pancake for the duck was too thick for my liking. I had to double on the meat, veggies, and sauce.  Reason for no pics on the duck? I was too engrossed in watching the chef and when the food was set on the table.  Total wow! It is my first time where the chef personally comes to do it in front of me.... and then well, it went straight to my stomach. Oops!  There was also Jumbo chili crab, xiao long pao, lamb dumplings and hot sichuan soup. Yes, it was a really big fest :P

Only remembered to take the dessert pics. :X
Egg tarts, fresh fruits, banana fritter, jasmine tiramizu, coconut icecream, mango pudding, homemade chocolate

Location: China House @ Grand Hyatt Mumbai

In My Footsteps: Bollywood Day 1.5

In each country, there will be at least 1 unique McD item on the menu. But India is a whole different story. Everything (food related of course) is Indianized.
No beef, only chicken, with multiple vegetarian options, and lots of spices.

This is indian's answer to your typical BigMac=Maharaja Mac

Enjoy!!
